A Day in the Life of Your
Fountaindale Public Library
Come join us in Bolingbrook and Romeoville on Wednesday, February 10 for Library Snapshot Day. This day the library may approach you to fill out a short questionnaire regarding the reason you visited the library that day and what you like about your library. The responses will help us to better tailor services to what our public would like. Also, a staff member may ask to take your picture as you use the library. We’ll post the responses and pictures here at the website!

Library Open For All February Holidays
The Fountaindale Public Library will be open its regular hours throughout February, including Lincoln's Birthday and President's Day! Please come visit us and check out a book or a DVD or use our public computers or our free wifi! We would be happy to see you!
Winter Movie Program
Beginning in January, and running through the end of March, the Fountaindale Public Library is proud to present its first ever Winter Movie Program! The guidelines for the program are very simple. Adults and teens (6th grade and up) participate by viewing movies and then writing reviews on “Movie Notes”. These “Movie Notes” are available at both the Reader Services Desk (at the Bolingbrook Facility) and the reference desk located in the lower level of Bolingbrook. At the end of each month (January, February, and March), there will be a drawing held to win a prize. You have the possibility of winning a set of Showplace Movie Passes, a Barnes & Noble Gift Card, or a Best Buy Gift Card, depending on which option you circle on the “Movie Note”! And that is it!
So get out the popcorn, pop in a movie, and enjoy the fun!!!

Construction Update:
New construction photos can be found in the photo gallery.
The concrete pour was completed for the 3rd floor South on Tuesday, January 12, with the concrete pour for the 3rd floor Center scheduled for Tuesday, January 19. The project schedule has a concrete pour for the 3rd floor North the week of January 25 and the roof level on the South for the first week of February, based upon weather and unforeseen conditions.
The Library Board is evaluating engaging an art consultant to "consult and advise in finding, selecting, and procuring artists and artwork for the new library." The Library Board is also evaluating options for a time capsule and/or a cornerstone for the new library. Both of these items are on the agenda for the January board meeting.
If you have any questions or concerns about the new library, the construction project, or the work completed to date, please contact Library Director
